1.2.0 (2026-10-12)

  • Bootstrap classes in the Styles menu: TinyMCE’s own Styles drop-down (styles in the toolbar, Format → Formats in the menu bar) gets a Bootstrap group: text and background colour, font, alignment, outer and inner spacing, border, shadow, opacity, display and sizing. The same menu is available as the bootstrapuistyles toolbar button. See Utilities.
  • Per breakpoint: spacing, alignment and display offer Base and From sm … From xxl, like the dialogs.
  • One value per group: choosing mt-5 replaces mt-3; choosing the active value again removes it. Classes always go on an element; no <span> is added.
  • Classes follow your Bootstrap series (ml-3 and text-right on Bootstrap 4); what the series does not have is not offered.
  • Layout outlines: a bottom margin you set (mb-*, my-*, m-*) is now visible in the editor even with the outlines on. Padding stays uniform so the element labels keep their place; switch the outlines off to see it.
  • Menu previews in Styles and Blocks no longer show the layout outlines as a frame around each item.
  • Works with the dark TinyMCE skins (oxide-dark, tinymce-5-dark).

1.1.1 (2026-10-10)

A maintenance release for integrators; the editor behaves exactly as in 1.1.0.

  • Readable build with English comments: plugin/plugin.esm.js now explains the code in English, so it is easier to read and adapt.
  • Reference configuration in English: example/tinymce-init.js has English comments, an English prompt for the image URL and a short usage example.
  • The minified build no longer carries internal style comments.

1.1.0 (2026-10-07)

The first commercial release. It includes everything below plus:

  • Seven more interface languages: Slovak, German, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian and Polish. English and Czech stay inside the plugin; the others are separate files that TinyMCE loads by itself, so the plugin stays small. See Translation.
  • Close button inside a component: inside a modal, offcanvas, alert or toast, the dialog offers an option to close the component containing the button. This option is selected by default and needs no ID.
  • Close button as a button with text (colour, outline, size), for example Close in a modal footer. Clicking it opens the close button dialog.
  • Modal: header, body and footer can be switched off, as can the close cross in the header; the footer can get a Close button with your own text.
  • Sample texts in the “… (HTML)” fields are translated (they used to stay in English).
  • Content without added <p>: text typed into the Content field comes back as text the next time (paragraphs separated by a blank line), not as HTML with <p>.
  • Modal footer: clicking the empty part of the footer adds a paragraph next to the button; Paragraph above/below element on a footer button inserts into the footer.
  • A plain div block can be edited like a paragraph: spacing, colours, display and custom classes.
  • The live preview no longer slides the modal (offcanvas, toast) in again while you type; Play replays the animation.
  • With layout outlines on, every element has the same 4 px inset and bottom margin (the label and content of cards, alerts and the like used to start well away from the border); switch the outlines off to see the real look.
  • The + Paragraph band is translated and sits below the block (on a padded block it used to be drawn inside and clicking did nothing).
  • The Table label on the floating table toolbar no longer carries the component name in brackets.

1.0.0 (2026-10-07)

First public release: 29 component dialogs, a grid designer, Bootstrap utilities in every dialog, English and Czech interface, verified by click-through in a real browser on TinyMCE 6.8, 7.9 and 8.9 with Bootstrap 5.3.

  • Components (29): button, alert, badge, card, list group, progress, accordion, spinner, button group, pagination, breadcrumb, toast, modal, offcanvas, tooltip, popover, dropdown, collapse, carousel, navs and tabs, navbar, scrollspy, table, figure, typography, form control, placeholder, ratio and close button.
  • Editing tools: container, custom classes on any element, table cell settings and nav item settings.
  • Bootstrap 5.3 and Bootstrap 4.6. One option (bootstrapui_version) switches the class names and data attributes that changed between the series and hides components, options and utilities version 4 does not have. Both verified by click-through in a real browser.
  • bootstrapui_js as an array of URLs. The scripts are added to the preview in the order given, so Bootstrap 4 gets jQuery before it. If the Bootstrap JavaScript does not start in the preview, the preview says so.
  • Component content is kept on save, including tables, quotes, images with captions and inline styles; HTML in a dialog is filtered by the same rules as the editor content.
  • Grid designer with breakpoint preview, drag-and-drop column order and per-breakpoint settings.
  • Live preview in every dialog, plus a panel with the exact HTML that will be inserted.
  • Language files. Czech is built in and also available as a separate file, together with a template for translating the plugin into a new language (langs/ in the package and the Downloads page).
  • The output is standard Bootstrap HTML without editor metadata or custom wrapper classes. The plugin does not check the licence at runtime.
